This Rebuild Kit includes the following quality parts:
- CP Carrillo Conrods, Pro H-Beam with WMC Bolts (CARR bolts are available as an option)
- CP Forged Pistons (Rings, Pins and Locks Included)
- Cometic MLS Head Gasket .051″ (1.3mm)
- ACL Race Series Main Bearings – STD, 0.025 or 0.25mm
- ACL Race Series Big End Bearings – STD, 0.025 or 0.25mm
Pistons are available in:
- Compression Ratios: 9.5:1
- 21mm Gudgeon Pin
- Bore Sizes: STD, 83mm and 83.5mm (83.5mm are made to order)
- Pistons come with rings, gudgeon pins and pin locks
Please note that the big end with on TFSI is 24.89mm we have seen some TFSI engines with TSI crankshafts where the bigend with is 21.89mm. This kit is only for TFSI cranks.
Carrillo Connecting Rods Feature:
CP-Carrillo uses a proprietary steel to manufacture its connecting rods, named Carrilloy. It is a chrome, nickel, moly, vanadium alloy which meets all VAR (vacuum arc re-melt ASTM standards). Carrilloy is simply a modification of an existing SAE specification. We just tighten up the acceptable attributes of the heat as it is manufactured. The heat is validated, both by the supplier and an independent metallurgist whom confirm the desired physical and chemical properties of steel.
CP Pistons standard features include:
- 5310 gudgeon pins (9310 thicker wall thickness pins are available as an upgrade)
- Deep valve reliefs accommodate high lift camshafts
- Larger valve reliefs for +1mm valve sizes
- Custom skirt cam and barrel design
- Accumulator grooves
- High strength aluminium forgings
- High performance rings
- Fully CNC machined and balanced to +/- 1 gram
- Wrist pins included
- Double pin oilers force fed from oil ring groove
- Pick lock grooves for easy lock removal
